In 80 bars around the world – without any men?! Does that work? Yes, it does – and it sounds superb. This Women's Choirbook provides a rich fund of well-known tunes from different countries and in different styles, ranging from swing, soul and groovy tunes to melodious ballads. The new arrangements are modern and charming and can be used in various ways and contexts: Apart from the 3-4 female voices, optional bass parts (instrumental or vocal) provide the opportunity to support the colourful harmony. Chord symbols facilitate simple accompaniment with instruments.
Charming arrangements of well-known pop classics such as 'Eternal Flame' and Sting's 'Fields of Gold' enthral the audience as do the evergreens 'Oh Happy Day', 'Jamaica Farewell' or 'Swanee River'.
In addition to discreetly accompanied and pure a-cappella versions, the CD contains many backing tracks for sing-along performances.
